Reviews & Questions
Rated 1 out of 5 by Erin from Very unsatisfied! We purchased a fiber classic mahogany collection front door for our new build. Upon receiving the door it was unfinished (error in communication with our salesman). The manufacturer refused to accept a return- even just to apply the stain. Fine. We received the stain to do it ourselves (which was a VERY time consuming task and, let's be honest, we are not professionals). But other than personal preference, the door is poorly made. The seams don't come together well, caulking is leaking from the bottom window frame in the side light, most of the finish nails have cracked the quarter round between the frame and side lights, and the J channel trim boards are not welded and pull apart during install. All trim boards are also face nailed and uncaulked leaving ugly nail holes in the face of the door frames. Overall, I can't express how unsatisfied and disappointed we are with this product and the manufacturer refuses to do anything about it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by BonA from The door is good with two exceptions My contractor bought and installed this for my front door. It's great except for 2 issues. The stain didn't go all the way down into the window surround and each time I approach the door, I can see incomplete stain and white areas. The other issue is the bumps around the window that must be covering screw holes. They stick out and are rough as if they should have been sanded.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Thomas y from Does not come finished Unreal that I paid 1200, chose a color and it arrived unstained. I can send it back and have it finished for another 375. I am going to attemp staining it myself but I am not a painter. Nail holes in frame are not filled in. This is a disaster. Bought from 84 lumber through a catalog. Promise date was end of June, got it Sept 3. I wish I read the reviews but was promised the world. 84L in Pittston Pa can go to heck. If I send it back it will be a 3 month wait before I pay for delivery again. Livid at my poor choice. Off to Lowes to buy a bunch of stuff on 09 05 20. I will give an update after I stain and pay a serious amount for install. This is now a 2 thousand dollar screwup. Feel my hate..

Rated 1 out of 5 by Fant from Not worth the money Pros: The construction is good. I've had no problems with the side light, door or frame. Good insulating door. Cons: the stain is peeling like crazy. Not sure how to fix it or even if it can be. This is on both the sidelight and the door itself. If you live in an "all" weather area, I would look to something that can handle the weather.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dissatisfied from Can't touch up scratches and dings The stain on my prefinished Thermatru doors scratched much easier than I thought. When I tried to touch up using SamedDay stain kit it did not work anything like shown on their website. Unless you want to have to refinish the entire door for a few dings and scratches stay away from these doors!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Joe Thomas from Cheesy Looks like a typical grandma style door, you can do better at Lowe's, though less selection at both stores.
