Are replacement parts stocked at Therma-Tru dealer locations? Therma-Tru dealers order replacement parts as needed. Visit our Replacement Parts page, or contact your local Therma-Tru dealer for availability.

Can I replace just the nose, or saddle, on my Therma-Tru sill? Yes. Depending on the type of sill, Therma-Tru offers replacement saddles. Visit our Replacement Parts page, or contact your local Therma-Tru dealer for availability.

How can I tell which door bottom sweep I have? Therma-Tru offers a variety of door bottom sweeps. Visit our Replacement Parts page, or contact your local Therma-Tru dealer for availability.

Is there any difference between the single- and dual-bulb door bottom sweeps? Our single-bulb bottom sweep is used with our moderate climate and basic fixed sills. Our dual-bulb bottom sweep is used with our composite adjustable, hardwood adjustable and basic composite adjustable sills.

Does an outswing door need a bottom sweep? Outswing doors do not require a bottom sweep. However, we do offer one. For product availability, contact your local Therma-Tru dealer.

Is the weatherstrip different for entry doors than hinged patio doors? No. The same weatherstrip can be used for both applications. However, Therma-Tru offers a variety of different weatherstrip options. Visit our Replacement Parts page or contact your local dealer for product availability.

Can I use square mortised locks with Therma-Tru doors? This depends on the manufacturer of the lockset and their specifications. For more information, contact your local Therma-Tru dealer.

Do locksets tarnish on steel doors? What is suggested to prevent this? Some lockset materials can tarnish when put in contact with other metallic surfaces. Sometimes lockset manufacturers will provide plastic parts to install between the lockset and the door to help prevent this. Follow the lockset manufacturer’s installation guidelines. Note: Fiberglass doors do not have the same effect as steel doors.

What are the available finishes for Therma-Tru hinges? We offer the following hinge finish options: Bright Brass (US3), Antique Brass (US5), Brushed Nickel (US15), Black Nickel (US17A), Antique Nickel (US15A), Polished Chrome (US26), Oil-Rubbed Bronze (US10B), Stainless Steel (US32D) and Zinc Dichromate (US2D). For product availability, contact your local Therma-Tru dealer. (Note: US designations are for general finish color reference only.)

Are your rot-resistant jambs fully composite? Our rot-resistant jambs are made of primed Pine with rot-resistant Alaskan Yellow Cyprus finger jointed to the bottom of each jamb leg to protect the jamb where it’s most vulnerable to moisture.

Can I order rot-resistant jambs pre-finished? For more information, contact your local Therma-Tru dealer.

Does Therma-Tru offer fiberglass jambs? No. At this time, we do not offer fiberglass jambs. However, fiberglass options may be available through your local Therma-Tru dealer.
