Therma-Tru launches more durable material and new grid patterns for simulated divided lites

MAUMEE, OHIO – Therma-Tru Corp. announces a more durable material and new grid patterns for simulated divided lite (SDL) bars, allowing homeowners to create an entry tailored to their home’s unique look, with endless color and finishing options.

New SDL bars for Fiber-Classic, Smooth-Star, Profiles and Traditions doors and sidelites now feature a new, more durable composite material engineered to withstand the elements, including extreme temperatures. Rain or shine, Therma-Tru SDLs can be used with or without a storm door without voiding the lifetime limited warranty.

“The new composite material for Therma-Tru’s SDL bars gives homeowners and trade professionals peace of mind and confidence that they have selected a durable, long-lasting product,” said Donna Contat, director of product management at Therma-Tru Corp. “The SDL bars can also be painted or stained any color, to coordinate with popular design trends.”

New SDL grid patterns expand Therma-Tru’s selection of on-trend entry doors with options to meet a wide range of styles. Choose from contemporary configurations to make a statement in the entry or coordinate with window grid patterns around the home for a cohesive look. SDLs can be used with privacy and textured glass designs for artistic expression while offering both natural light and privacy.

SDLs are part of the full Therma-Tru entry door system and are included in the industry’s most comprehensive lifetime limited warranty.

New SDLs for Fiber-Classic, Smooth-Star, Profiles and Traditions doors will be available to order starting March 4, 2019.
