THERMA-TRU DONATES PATIO DOORS TO EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION
MAUMEE, OH (September 27, 2005) – Sunday night marked the beginning of the second season of ABC's breakout home improvement hit, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Therma-Tru® Doors is honored to be a part of the second episode of the season, which will air this Sunday, October 2 at 8 p.m. ET. Therma-Tru donated four Fiber-Classic® Hinged Patio Systems with multi-point locking systems to the Barrett family in Colorado Springs, Colo.
"Therma-Tru is proud to donate our patio doors to the Barrett's lovely new home," said Sara Theis, Public Relations Manager, Therma-Tru Doors. "For a couple committed to adopting children in need, the Barrett's are certainly deserving of a warm, welcoming home with all the benefits of modern building products."
Initially available in 8'heights and 3'and 3'6" widths for today's larger entryways, the Rustic Collection has been extremely popular in the western and southwestern states. In June 2004, Therma-Tru introduced a 6'8" door to meet demand from builders, architects, remodelers and homeowners. Now, two new 6'8" styles are available in the marketplace with four-panel and two-panel designs and arch and radius-top and full-lite, clear glass sidelites.
Each episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on ABC is self-contained and features a race against time on a project that would ordinarily take at least four months to achieve. The home makeover involves a team of designers, contractors and several hundred workers who have just seven days to totally rebuild an entire house – from bedrooms to landscaping. The lives of the lucky families are forever changed when they learn that they have been selected to have their homes radically changed.
Fiber-Classic Hinged Patio Door Systems from Therma-Tru offer the ultimate in style, performance and durability. The high-performance fiberglass door panels won't crack, rot, swell or split like wood patio doors, or rust, ding or dent like aluminum and steel. They are available in a wide variety of sizes for new construction and remodeling, including 8-foot tall systems. The interior features realistic oak graining that can be stained or painted to match any décor.
