WHEN IT COMES TO CREATING AN EXTRAORDINARY ENTRY,
IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS
Detailed Styling Marks the 25th Year of Therma-Tru’s Fiberglass Entry Door
MAUMEE, Ohio (Feb. 1, 2008) ― Having a feel for your home’s architectural style is the first step in determining a door style that makes the most impact. Next, it’s the attention to detail that can take the entry from bland to grand. Year after year, Therma-Tru introduces homeowners to new door styles to elevate their home’s entry. In fact, for 25 years Therma-Tru has been advancing the industry with quality products that hinge on performance and open the door on elegance.
This year, Therma-Tru expands two of its leading product lines—the Classic-Craft® Rustic Collection and Smooth-Star® line of value-priced door styles—so homeowners who pride themselves in paying attention to detail have more choices at every price point.
“Entry doors are the first opportunity homeowners have to make an impression and set the stage for the rest of the home,” says Tom Kraeutler, AOL’s Home Improvement Editor and co-host of ‘The Money Pit’ nationally syndicated home improvement radio show. “Performance factors such as energy efficiency and design details matter on the exterior just as much as on the interior.”
|Recognizing the importance of style and authentic details, Therma-Tru introduces new decorative accent hardware for its Classic-Craft Rustic Collection including round and pyramid clavos and strap hinges. Designed for homes that reflect southwestern- or Mediterranean-inspired architecture, the hardware accents bring an authentic hand-hewn look to the Rustic Collection door. The hardware is corrosion-resistant and has a black powder coated finish.
The Rustic Collection harkens back to an era when artisans meticulously crafted each wood door by hand. While these doors replicate the look and real wood graining of natural stained wood, their durability and performance does not. The Rustic Collection is crafted of fiberglass with Therma-Tru’s AccuGrain Technology and will not rot, warp or split like a traditional wood door. It is ENERGY STAR compliant, offering five times the insulation of a wood door.

Now homeowners can create a rustic yet charming entry with decorative glass that lets natural light in without compromising privacy. Therma-Tru adds new flush-glazed full-lite obscure sidelites to complement the Rustic Collection. The sidelites are available in Chinchilla, Granite and Rain glass and are designed to coordinate with two of Therma-Tru’s
latest glass introductions—Augustine and Camino.
In 1999, Therma-Tru introduced homeowners to its Smooth-Star line of entry doors. Smooth-Star is Therma-Tru’s value-priced line which delivers the aesthetic look of steel with the performance benefits of fiberglass. This year, Therma-Tru expands the line to include two-panel square-top and two-panel plank door styles. The new Smooth-Star door styles are intended to coordinate with popular interior door designs so homeowners can maintain a unified, detailed look from the exterior to the interior of their home.
